Calgary-Based Consulting Firm Leads Strategic Sales for KALiNA Power’s Alberta Portfolio, Including Three Power-CCS Sites Totaling Over 300 MW
CALGARY, Alberta, Apr. 21, 2025 – TwelveSix Services Ltd., a Calgary-based advisory firm specializing in data centre infrastructure and power project development, is pleased to announce its engagement by KALiNA Distributed Power (KDP), a wholly owned Canadian subsidiary of KALiNA Power Limited (ASX: KPO). Under this engagement, TwelveSix will lead the targeted sale of three strategically positioned project sites in Alberta: Clairmont Energy Park, Gilby Power Park, and Saddle Hills.
These sites, each offering significant potential for data centre co-location and industrial power supply, form part of KDP’s broader 1.7 GW portfolio of natural gas-fired combined cycle power plants with integrated Carbon Capture and Sequestration (Power-CCS) technology. Notably, the three project sites identified for sale fall outside of KDP’s recently announced Framework Agreement with Crusoe Energy Systems.
TwelveSix brings a proven track record in Alberta’s energy and data infrastructure space, having recently facilitated the acquisition of a fully permitted 101 MW power project on behalf of Bitdeer Technologies Group for C$21.7 million. The firm continues to support buyers and sellers navigating the intersection of power, infrastructure, and AI/data centre development.
“We’re proud to support KALiNA in advancing the next stage of its commercialization strategy,” said a spokesperson from TwelveSix. “These sites represent some of the most attractive development opportunities in Western Canada for groups looking to secure scalable, base load power.”
KDP has been actively engaging with a broad range of stakeholders, including midstream operators, utilities, and data centre developers, to explore project development, co-location partnerships, and equity participation. The sale process led by TwelveSix is expected to support these broader strategic initiatives and attract best-fit buyers for long-term success.
TwelveSix Services CEO, Blake Fikowski, is available for interviews to discuss this project and its implications for Alberta's energy landscape.
